2D1N @ Kuantan

after whole week busy at work, let's have a break.....me, whuoo, tyan, jkim and jwei have some discussion during yum cha session and decided to go for a short trip....since we never been to kuantan and there is a new water theme park at bukit gambang, so we decided to go there.....besides playing at bukit gambang water resort, we can walk around at kuantan town.....we depart earlier in the morning....stop by at mcd near nkve damansara exit for breakfast....can't remember when is the last time i have mcd breakfast.....having 2 cups of coffee because the coffee is free-flow.....hehehhe.....mcd breakfast starts the day.....the journey takes almost 3 hours....kuantan!!! here we come!!! sounds a bit excited??? hehehhee....well, this my 1st attempt to kuantan...not to waste time going to kuantan town and come back to the waterpark, so we step on at bukit gambang waterpark 1st.....it is located near the toll exit....entrance fee to waterpark is around rm2o.....we are given wristband and with the wristband, we can top up value which we can use to buy foods or drinks at the stall.....just need to scan the wristband and the value will automatically deducted......quite a good system because we don't need to carry cash around.....talking about the waterpark, is very new, but is kinda disappointed because nothing much in there....some still under construction.....is looks like 1/10 smaller than sunway lagoon.....hahahhaa.....we tried 3 different slides, sliding with tube......playing half way, suddenly raining pours.....we need to stop and rest at a food stall.....overall we stay there for around 5 hours including the raining time....hehehehhee.....after that, we went to kuantan town......so hungry after playing in waterpark......we have our early dinner at a place with many stalls.....we order chee cheong fun, fried kuay teow, fried white carrot and assam laksa......taste not bad......after meal, we went east coast mall for a walk while waiting for homestay owner to pass the house key to us......tyan's birthday is around the corner, so we bought a cake for her......a honeydew cake.....not expecting much on the cake as we don know which cake house have delicious cake......we purposely separate into 2 gang.....so secretive not letting her know, so that she will have a surprise.....hahahha.....at the end.................the surprise is very success.....we successfully hide the cake from her till night time......while she taking bath, we get ready with the cake......we shout at her when she comes out from the bathroom.....surprise!!!!!! her expression really looks funny :P prove that we are good in hiding and giving surprise because she never realise we bought the cake......without high expectation, the cake is good.....planning to go teluk cempedak for sunrise, we slept early as we want to wake up at 5am......and another disappoinment!!!! raining heavily till morning.....omgossshhhhh.....spoil the mood.....haizzzzzzzzz......my alarm clock rang at 5am....and i still heard the tik tok tik tok raining sound......so without waking up the others, i continue sleeping.....till i see sunlight from the window, is time to wake up for 2nd day visit.....we went hoi yin restaurant for curry mee.....famous curry mee in kuantan.....can't miss it.....after breakfast, we went teluk cempedak, a must visit place too.....walking along the beach side.....comes to a wooden bridge, so-called "couple bridge".....and for us, i named it as "friendship bridge" then.....walk along the bridge, don know when is the end of the bridge, so we walk till half way and u-turn back to the beach.....snapping a few photos.....and we left there and go for cendol with whuoo's relatives.....free dessert....her relative then bring us to a stall with not bad fried chicken, fried banana, fried potato and etc....and is free too....thanks!!! after that, we start our journey back home.....reach home around 5++pm....thanks for the trip and "driver" =)

I-City with my mum

me and my mum visited i-city on the last day of CNY....although i-city located not far from klang, and to be exact not far from my house :P, is my 1st visit there.....whenever there are friends from other places ask me, have i visited i-city?? and my answer is NO.....they will tease me.....sounds a bit shameful right??? those from far did visited but i still not....hahahha....sooooo.....to avoid continue answering NO, i decided to pay a visit there after dinner with my mum.....the 1st thing i saw on the entrance is the colourful peacock......1st impression entering the place was.......waooohhhh....people mountain people see.....everyone holding camera....snapping here and there.....so do i....hahahha.....the view attracts everyone looking at it from federal highway.....always listening from others about how nice the place is....how amazing the LED lights are.....how colourful it is.....yess!!! is true....absolutely the city of digital....expecting i can see more stuffs there on CNY but disappointing me because not much CNY decorations....only some red lanterns and the so called "mandarin orange tree"....hahhahaha.....and most of the places are full of christmas trees with colourful lights......though is really nice but...............on the other hand, i am thinking......is it a waste of electricity??? maybe yes....maybe no.....no is because this place has become one of the tourists' attraction.....means it help the tourism of the country.....many buses coming from other state.....the lights are on every night......other than trees, there are some other decorations like panda bear, goose and etc.....and of course is made of lights.....

FGS Dong Zen Temple

happy tiger year everyone =) fgs dong zen temple is one of the famous visited place on CNY.....it has become an attraction for the place.....quite many people went there for praying and having vegetarian meal especially on the 1st-15th of CNY....i did visit there once during normal day and din't see anything special about the temple....the only different is this temple is a BIG temple.....getting info from other people, CNY celebration is held every year where the temple is decorated.....since this year is tiger year, there is a tiger decoration on the main entrance.....normally there are many activities planned from morning till night during the 15 days of CNY....those who interested can visit their website for more info about the schedule.....old folks usually stay there the whole day for praying ceremony....but for youngster, they only pay a visit to see the CNY decorations, just like us....hahahhaa.....me, whuoo, tyan, jkim and slian went there walk walk and feel the crowded surrounding......is about 1 hour from my house.....with the good road condition.....no jam....we reached there around 8.30pm.....no parking and is really very very crowded.....we even need to queue to take photos especially with the chinese horoscope statue.....hehhehe....since we are there, of course we queue for our own horoscope too....guess what, while we taking photos, there is a bunch of people celebrating birthday.....so high profile, they not only singing birthday song but also with a cake.....so special right??? we used to celebrate birthday at home, at cafe, at restaurant but never tried at temple before.....errrrrr....temple.....errrr....sounds like....errrr....choi choi choi.....hahahhahaha.....it was a new idea of celebrating....maybe next time we should try too....see whose birthday falls on the day we visit temple....if is during CNY, i think most probably is mine.....mine always near to CNY......oh noooo.....i don wan to be the one who is so high profile and that "special" :P the surrounding of the temple is really big.....we walk around for almost 2 hours....hot and sweating.....we never have chance to walk around in the temple because the place close at 10.30pm.....so we have chance to pay a visit next time....hmmm...perhaps next year.....hehehhee.....thanks tyan for being a driver =)

Uni-mates CNY gathering @ New Paris Restaurant, SS2

AGAIN, once a year uni-mates CNY gathering.....assuming only this gathering will have more people joining......but........too bad......not as many as i expect.....as what we always said "we don't have many friends :p so cannot expect too much".....
one additional new comer is little jxin.....hahahhaha....since no one suggesting where to go, we went new paris ss2 AGAIN.....why again???!!!! because we went there on last year's CNY gathering tooooooooo......haizzzzzz....how come no new place??? frankly, i really can't think of any restaurant for dinner at klang valley.....unless we go those in shopping complex.....but CNY right?? should go for chinese traditional dinner which is.............eat rice.....hehehhe....i thought of suggesting klang, but i think no one will agree except those staying here....so forget it.....we ordered 7 dishes....champagne chicken with watermelon, taufu with minced meat, soy sauce steam fish, salty egg crab, 4 mixed vege, kailan and marmite pork....this year we din't lou sang.....because a bit wasted.....we not really eat it at last......while waiting for the food, i took a few photos....
omgosssshhhhhhhhhhh.....i accidentally spill the chinese tea....my shirt and bag get wet.....and another omgossshhhhh....i forgot to zip up my bag....the things in my bag get wet too =.=''' well, i believe good luck comes after bad....is it sounds like people always say "lie to myself"??? ahhhh.....whatever it is.....we waited around half hour before the foods served.....consider fast with the number of customers there....after dinner, uncle and auntie lee gave us ang pow for the 1st time.....guess they enjoy giving....MAYBE :p then we went to jacky's house for visiting session.....we chit-chatting there, playing with jxin, running here and there, chasing her around.....quite tired actually.....hehhehehe....and as usual, "card" session again.....fteng came after her own gathering and suprisingly brought a guy along....we teasing her non-stop....but she say is housemate ONLY....hehehhee....we back around 12++am.....have a nice gathering indeed.....

CNY Steamboat

happy chinese new year to all~~~~~~~
10 of us (me, whuoo, tyan, ailu, cweng, jkim, jwei sfang, sming, bkeong) having steamboat at ailu + cweng's new house at taman orkid, klang utama.....we went to buy foods needed for steamboat, get ready and waiting for the rest to come because they are working while i still on leave....hahhahaha....see what we got for the steamboat???

the leftover corn....pity the corn....no one wanna eat.....
after steamboat, cards session start aka gambling.....hahhahaha.....
we left around 11++pm....well, is quite early because some of them still working the next day :S see how hardworking they are.....looks like i am the one still lazying at home :p

Chinese New Year 2010

here comes one year once CNY.....my long holidays too....hahahhaha.....as usual on CNY eve, me, my mum and my bro went to grandma's house for praying .....this year is the 1st time i play "kong ming" lantern on CNY eve....my brother bought a few and we tried it on the eve.....before that, we wrote some wishes on it....basically are "healthy always", "work smoothly", "good business" and etc.....we use quite some time to light up and fly it to the sky.....because of the wind, the lantern going left and right.....almost bang the building....hahhahaha....luckily it went smoothly after that.....fly fly fly......fly up the sky....till it disappear from our sight....after a while, a few houses start playing fireworks.....though fireworks is illegal right now, still.....is chinese tradition.....for chinese, fireworks represent CNY.....after that, we went big uncle's house for a while and then we went home.....again.........AS USUAL.....the next morning, me and my family went auntie's house.....met relatives and get red packets.....hehehhehe.....

Sky lanterns, also known as Kongming Lantern are airborne paper lanterns traditionally found in some Asian cultures. They are constructed from oiled rice paper on a bamboo frame, and contain a small candle or fuel cell composed of a waxy flammable material. When lit, the flame heats the air inside the lantern, thus lowering its density causing the lantern to rise into the air. once a year gathering :p

no idea why we only got to gather so long once.....the last time we (me, bel, van, hy) met each other is almost one year ago at sushi groove....this time we gather at wong kok char chan teng....besides gathering, we celebrated bel's birthday....to be exact is advanced birthday.....due to the birthday celebration promotion of wong kok, we got a GIANT size milk tea =) it can be divided into 6 glasses....but only four of us....we drink till very full...hahhaha....we ordered 2 spaghetti....seafood spaghetti and ....... green curry spaghetti??? can't remember.....hmmm........another one is cheese..............................................................i forgot :p
really too long din't meet....we chit-chatting non-stop.....after a while, we took out the two tiny mousse cakes (chocolate & strawberry) from bread story.....we don't have lighter to light up the cake, so borrowed from the waiter....guess what, the lighter is BIG.....see that....almost the same height with the glass....hahahhaha....we sing softly because too many customers in the restaurant :p
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEL!!!! MAY YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES COME TRUE!!!! we shared the two tiny cakes....taste good......before we left, we took a few photos.....really happy meeting you girls....hope the next time we gather is not one year later :p
